From Despair to Hope: A Practical Path to Repair

My goal is to help you experience greater personal and relationship satisfaction! Together we will identify your goals, and immediately implement strategies to repair damaged relationships, rebuild trust, improve communication and conflict resolution, and lower your levels of stress and frustration. In the very first session you can go from having despair to having hope, no matter how hopeless your relationship or situation seems today!

I will receive you with respect and compassion. My approach is to first understand you without blame or judgement, and then share concepts and proven techniques to achieve your goals. A knowledgeable, highly experienced and compassionate therapist can help you transform your life. I would be honored to work with you and yours!

Credentials at a glance

Spiritual and faith context

While my therapeutic approach with clients is not "faith-based" (i.e., not grounded in any religious or faith tradition), I strive to honor and acknowledge my clients' personal spiritual traditions, beliefs and struggles, especially as they relate to our work with trauma, grief and loss.

My approach to addressing spiritual matters comes both from Judaism, as well as from a 12-Step Recovery perspective of identifying a personal Higher Power and spiritual principles to illuminate your life path forward, whether grounded in a specific faith, agnosticism, atheism, humanism or other paths.

Important note

Dr. Shachar is not a CSAT and does not provide diagnosis/treatment for sex addiction. She collaborates with trusted CSAT specialists and often serves as part of a coordinated care team for betrayed partners and couples.
